When Are Accounts Reviewed?
Every creator account is reviewed:
- During account signup
- Before the creator’s first eligible payout
The signup review is completed within 1–3 business days.
Later Creator may also review an account after verification when it needs to confirm account information, investigate activity, or evaluate compliance with platform or brand requirements.
Possible Account Review Outcomes
Verified
Your account has passed the applicable review. No additional action is required unless Later Creator contacts you later for further verification.
On Hold
Later Creator needs additional information before your account can be verified.
If your account is placed on hold:
- Check your email for instructions from the Compliance team.
- Review the requested information.
- Reply directly to the email thread with the required documentation or details.
Failure to provide the requested information may result in additional account action.
Removed
If Later Creator determines that an account does not meet its compliance requirements, the account may be removed.
If you believe the decision was made in error, review the removal email and follow any instructions it provides for replying. Reinstatement may be considered on a case-by-case basis, but it is not guaranteed.
How to Keep Your Account Compliant
Use Accurate Account Information
Make sure the information associated with your Later Creator account is accurate, including:
- Your legal name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Payment information
- Required tax information
Connect Your Primary Social Profile
Connect the social profile you primarily use to share affiliate content when required.
Your profile should accurately represent you and your content.
Clearly Disclose Affiliate Relationships
Creators are responsible for following applicable disclosure requirements when sharing affiliate content.
When you have a financial or other material relationship with a brand—including the opportunity to earn affiliate commission—make that relationship clear to your audience.
Your disclosure should:
- Be easy to notice and understand
- Appear with the endorsement or promotional content
- Use clear language, such as stating that you may earn commission
- Appear before a viewer must select “more” or take another action to see it
- Be included in the content itself when required, including within videos or images
- Be repeated periodically during a livestream
- Use the same language as the endorsement
Do not rely only on a social platform’s built-in disclosure tool. Use your own clear disclosure in addition to any platform tool.
Follow current FTC disclosure guidance and any Later Creator or brand-specific requirements.
Follow Brand Terms & Conditions
Each brand may have its own rules governing how products, promotions, links, and promotional codes can be used.
Review the brand’s Brand Card and applicable Terms & Conditions before sharing content.
Use Authentic and Accurate Content
Your content should accurately represent your identity, experience, and relationship with the products you promote.
Do not:
- Impersonate another person or creator
- Use someone else’s content, name, or likeness without authorization
- Use a fake identity or misleading profile
- Make false claims about buying, using, or experiencing a product
- Intentionally mislead your audience about a promotion, price, or product
- Use AI-generated content in creator content, because it may mislead audiences
